Duplex is an artist-run gallery and studio space located in Vancouver, BC on the unceded lands of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) peoples.

Since its founding in 2015, Duplex has aimed to provide resources to lower-income, early career artists, and in 2017 Duplex formally became a Non-Profit organization. Providing over 20 affordable studio spaces, an exhibition space, wood shop, kiln, programming opportunities, and a small library, our organization offers emerging and established artists the opportunity to think and make together within a community.

Thanks to our non-hierarchical and self-run organizing structure, Duplex provides a unique and necessary outlet for experimentation. Be it through exhibition, skill sharing, curation, or communal operating and leadership, Duplex is a space for learning how to be together. Our space is an integral part of the health and well-being of our local and national arts ecosystem.
